We learned from Senator Wieners office yesterday that they are hearing us. The dialogue is no longer including any mention of bulldozing our beloved Bovine Chateau to make way for housing - and is instead shifting to words like revitalization and community involvement. We still have a long way to go, including Committee meetings in Sacramento next month (so stay tuned), but this is hopeful. Please include “thanks for listening” and “we believe you want a bright future for the Cow Palace too” if you call or write Senator Wiener. However, if ‘housing’ comes back as a lead issue in his statements, we may need to hold his feet to the fire again.

One way we can insure the Cow Palace HAS a future is to provide great ideas FOR its' future. ...Farmers Markets, Young Farmers programs for city kids, a Music Fringe Festival for unknown musicians of all types, you name it. Assume the State will do some overdue upgrades and repaired, and ...dream! We will assemble your ideas and put together a list for Cow Palace management.”

There is a special “info” session on the agenda for Daly City, City Council & public regarding SB281. It’s Monday, Feb 25th a 6pm. Respectful attendance is encouraged. DC residents especially. City Hall - 333 90th Street, Daly City, CA 94015 General: (650) 991-8000"

Thank you!
